UNCONQUERED: 1999 CHAMPIONSHIP
Florida State had a season for the ages in 1999. Led by future Heisman-winning QB Chris Weinke, star WR Peter Warrick and a stalwart defense, the Seminoles finished the regular season with a 11-0 record. FSU then triumphed in the 2000 Nokia Sugar Bowl with a 46-29 victory to go 12-0 for the first time in program history. The Noles were great all season long — in fact, FSU became the first team to go No. 1 wire-to-wire in the AP poll. Embracing the Seminole spirit of the “Unconquered People,” the 1999 National Championship and undefeated season goes down as one of the greatest in Florida State history.
