SHERMAN SEES GOLD
Date: 2012 Season
Third baseman Sherman Johnson won the 2012 Rawlings Gold Glove Award. The Tampa native became just the third Seminole to win the award behind Buster Posey (2008) and Tyler Holt (2009). Johnson was loyal to FSU, starting over 200 consecutive games over his four-year career. He would make his MLB debut with the Los Angeles Angels in 2018 and would later become a coach for the Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox.
