BUSTER IS BEST

Catcher Buster Posey finished the 2008 season as one of the most decorated players in FSU baseball history. Posey took home the ACC Player of the Year Award, the Golden Spikes Award and the Dick Howser Trophy, among others. His dominance in the batter’s box led to 55 runs scored in 68 games. Posey also had at least one RBI in 50 contests. The NCAA recognized Posey with these two awards as the statistical champion in batting average (.463) and slugging percentage (.879). Aside from these two, Posey ranked within the top ten of five other NCAA individual statistical categories that season. A true Seminole legend!
