WALKING BUCKET
Date: 1990s
Buckets came easily to F Doug Edwards, giving the Seminoles an offensive edge from 1990 to 1993. The Miami native became the first player in program history with three consecutive 500-point seasons, which included a career-high 568 points in his final campaign of 1992-93. Unsurprisingly, the Seminoles made the NCAA Tournament in each of Edwards’ three seasons on the squad. His best postseason showing came in the first round of the 1991 tournament, leading all players with 24 points in a 75-72 win over No. 10 USC. Edwards ended his career with 1,604 points, becoming just the third player in program history to reach the 1,600-point mark after Jim Oler and Mickey Dillard.
