THE UNBREAKABLE SCORING STREAK
After playing his final high school season in Frankfurt, Germany, where his mother worked at an American service school, F Dave Fedor joined the FSU varsity in the 1959-60 season. Immediately, he emerged as one of the greatest scorers in program history. Fedor “already has served notice that he may be the finest first-year varsity performer in Seminole basketball history,” noted the Tallahassee Democrat just six games into his FSU career. Originally a native of Zephyrhills, Florida, Fedor scored in double figures in all 72 games of his Seminole career, a remarkable streak that still stands as a program record. His 20.2 career scoring average set another record that stood until 1983, while his 13.5 rebounds per game remain among the best in program history.
