THE MEASURE OF NO. 39
From 1995 to 1997, J.D. Drew produced some of the most eye-popping numbers in Seminole baseball history, finishing his career with 267 hits, 254 runs scored and 257 RBIs, while breaking 17 school and ACC records. He became the only player in NCAA Division I history to hit 30 home runs and steal 30 bases in a season and one of just three players ever to record a triple-triple with 100 hits, 100 runs and 100 RBIs. Drew also set a FSU record by batting .455 and established new benchmarks for career slugging percentage and ACC home runs with 59. His collegiate career earned national recognition through the Dick Howser Trophy and Golden Spikes Award, and his place in program history was further affirmed with induction into the FSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2003 and the National College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016.
