SPEED UP THE MIDDLE
Date: June 5, 2018
Morgan Klaevemann served as a catalyst for FSU throughout the 2018 NCAA National Championship run, using speed and on-base ability to apply constant pressure. In the two-game championship series against No. 5 Washington, the center fielder finished 1-for-4 with a run scored and a walk. A true speedster, she recorded 17 stolen bases during the 2018 season, consistently turning singles and walks into scoring opportunities. Klaevemann’s aggressive baserunning and composure on the game’s biggest stage reflected the identity of a Seminole team built to challenge defenses and capitalize on momentum.
