MORGAN HITS THE JETS
Date: June 5, 2018
Utility player Dani Morgan slid safely into second base during Game 2 of the 2018 Division I Women’s Softball Championship. The steal marked Morgan’s 16th stolen base of the season, continuing FSU’s aggressive pressure on the base paths during the championship clincher. A native of Newnan, Georgia, Morgan appeared in 59 games for the Seminoles in 2018 and contributed across both games of the Women’s College World Series finals, finishing the series 1-for-4 with two walks. Her speed and versatility reflected the depth of a Noles roster that closed out an 8-3 victory over No. 5 Washington to secure the program’s first NCAA National Championship.
