RETURN OF THE MAC

M Jaelin Howell returned to the national spotlight after winning the 2021 Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy as the top women’s player in the nation. It was her second consecutive MAC Hermann Trophy, making her just the sixth woman to win the award in back-to-back years. “I told my coach before the Hermann Awards, ‘I already got the trophy I wanted,’ it was the national championships, so everything else was just the cherry on top,” Howell said. The star midfielder joined an elite group of two-time Hermann winners, including generational talents Mia Hamm and Christine Sinclair.
