DEFENDING ANOTHER ACC CROWN
Date: 2013 Season
Just days after becoming the first ACC Defensive Player of the Year in program history, D Kassey Kallman earned another award: MVP of the ACC Tournament. The No. 3 Noles defeated No. 6 Virginia Tech 1-0 in the ACC Championship Game to claim FSU’s second conference title. Kallman, who was named a consensus First Team All-American, headed a Seminole defense that allowed just one goal in three matches in the tournament. By starting in all 28 games and playing the second-most minutes that season, Kallman proved that her endurance and leadership were crucial as FSU made a run to the College Cup Final.
