NO. 11 FOREVER

On October 20, 2016, F Mami Yamaguchi became the first player in FSU soccer history with a retired jersey. Her No. 11, which she wore in her historic 2007 campaign, was immortalized in a halftime ceremony during a game against Duke. Two years later, Yamaguchi joined the ranks of the FSU Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2018. Following her success in Tallahassee, Yamaguchi played professionally for over a decade in Sweden, her native Japan — including with the Japanese National Team — and the United States.
