FROM MIAMI TO WASHINGTON
Date: February 10, 1994
As part of a long-standing sports tradition, the 1993 Seminoles visited the White House to celebrate their first National Championship. Dressed in matching Garnet and Gold tracksuits, players and coaches were honored by President Bill Clinton for their 12-1 season and 18-16 Orange Bowl victory over Nebraska. Head coach Bobby Bowden stood front and center with team leaders and officials, marking a moment of national recognition for a program that had finally climbed to the top of the college football world.
