The mid-1980s marked a challenging era for FSU, as the team faced five straight losing seasons from 1983-84 to 1987-88. But there were still standout players in that time, including G Sheri Kaminski of Satellite Beach, Florida. Kaminski led the team with an incredible 155 assists in her 1983-84 freshman season, which stood as a program record until 2009. She had a career-high 11 assists in a game in 1983 and later dished out 10 assists in two games in 1984. Kaminski remains in the program’s top 15 for all-time assists with 354.
