GORDON HOLDS IT DOWN AT FIRST

Junior Carsyn Gordon provided a steady presence at first base during Game 2 of the 2018 Division I Women’s Softball Championship. Batting second in the lineup, the Miami native finished 1-for-2 as the No. 6 Seminoles defeated No. 5 Washington, 8-3, to secure the National Championship. Throughout the 2018 season, Gordon served as a stalwart in the FSU lineup, combining consistency and power. She closed the year with a .305 batting average, 12 home runs, 51 RBIs and 117 total bases, anchoring an offense that delivered in key moments during the postseason and championship run.
