WARREN GOES YARD
Date: June 5, 2018
The Seminoles cheered on 3B Jessie Warren after she blasted a home run during Game 2 of the 2018 Division I Women’s Softball Championship in Oklahoma City. Coming in the 4th inning, Warren’s no-doubt shot to center field followed C Elizabeth Mason’s two-run homer and helped No. 6 FSU pull away from No. 5 Washington after weathering an early three-run deficit. The home run marked Warren’s 13th hit of the Women’s College World Series (WCWS), tying the WCWS record for most hits in a single tournament, and punctuated an 8-3 victory that secured FSU’s first NCAA softball National Championship.
