TIA’S MANY TEAMS
Date: 1980s to 1990s
Bouncing back from a knee injury that kept her out for her true freshman season, F Tia Paschal made her first appearance for the Noles in November 1989. People took notice of Paschal’s game nearly immediately as the versatile forward earned Metro Conference All-Rookie Team honors. Paschal was a three-year starter, leading the Seminoles to two consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament in 1990 and 1991 and the program’s first-ever Metro Conference regular season championship in 1991. As a senior in 1992-93, Paschal earned First Team All-ACC honors and was named Second Team All-American by the American Women’s Sports Federation. Paschal became just the seventh player in program history to earn All-American honors.
