TALENTED POOLE

When the Seminoles needed a goal in the 1996 season, they could rely on M/F Kelley Poole. She led the team with 29 points and 14 goals, including six game-winners. One of those scores came against No. 18 NC State, helping FSU to the first come-from-behind victory in program history. Trailing 2-1, the Seminoles rallied for three unanswered goals in the second half. Poole headed in a cross in the 85th minute for the game-winner as the Noles ultimately took the 4-2 victory. Despite playing for just one season, Poole remains in the program’s top five all-time with six game-winning goals.
