Defender Emily Madril was a key part of a Seminole defensive line that allowed just a single goal throughout the 2021 NCAA Tournament. No. 1 FSU defeated South Alabama, SMU, No. 4 Pepperdine, No. 2 Michigan and No. 5 Rutgers en route to the National Championship matchup. ACC Defensive Player of the Year Madril and the defensive line again blanked their opponents, No. 13 BYU, in the College Cup Final, holding one of the nation’s highest scoring offenses without a goal in regulation and two overtime periods.
