ON TOP OF THE POLLS

Coming into the 2013 season, the AP poll ranked the Seminoles at No. 10. Week by week, FSU proved they were the best team in the country and deserved the No. 1 spot. The Noles beat each of their regular season opponents with a 39.5-point margin of victory average, including four top-25 victories over Bethune-Cookman (FCS), Maryland, Clemson and Miami. The offense scored a total of 723 points, setting a then-record for most points scored in a single season (since broken by 2019 LSU, though with an extra game). No wonder FSU ended up on top of the polls at the end of the season!
