Although they were favored going into the first round of the 2010 NCAA Tournament, No. 3 FSU faced a challenge from No. 14 Louisiana Tech. With the game deadlocked 40-40 at halftime, FSU tightened up on defense in the second half, holding Louisiana Tech to just 5-of-30 shooting from the floor. The Seminoles ended the game on a 10-0 run to wrap up a 75-61 victory and advance deeper in the tournament. It was FSU’s sixth consecutive first round win in the NCAA Tournament — a streak that began in 2005 and would continue until 2010.
