GOLDEN PLAYMAKER
Date: 1990s
WR Peter Warrick electrified college football during his time in Tallahassee, helping lead the Seminoles to a 12-0 season and the 1999 National Championship. In the Sugar Bowl on January 4, 2000, Warrick was responsible for 20 points — the most to that point in Sugar Bowl history — with touchdown catches of 64 and 43 yards, a 59-yard punt return and a 2-point conversion. FSU retired Warrick’s No. 9 jersey in 2018. He remains one of the greatest receivers in program history today, boasting a career of 32 touchdown catches, 207 receptions and 2,517 receiving yards.
