FRESH OFF THE BLOCK

With an arm slung around F/M Leilanni Nesbeth, F Jordynn Dudley (No. 11) had plenty to celebrate during the 2023 College Cup Final. After getting fouled in the 28th minute, Dudley converted a successful penalty kick for the first Seminole goal of the match and a lead they would never relinquish. “For her to get the penalty and to take it, we all have full confidence in her and she has full confidence in herself,” said F Beata Olsson. That season, Dudley finished with 14 goals and 37 points — second only to Sanna Talonen for most goals and points by a freshman in program history. Dudley’s nine assists were also tied for second-most by a freshman. Fittingly, she was crowned ACC Freshman of the Year, Freshman of the Year by Top Drawer Soccer and the Most Outstanding Offensive Player of the College Cup. Her penalty kick steered FSU toward the National Championship, the first of two titles in her incredible Seminole career.
