FOLLOWING IN CHARLIE’S FOOTSTEPS

Redshirt freshman QB Jameis Winston won an array of major awards in 2013, including the Heisman Trophy, the Davey O’Brien Award and the Manning Award. He was also named Walter Camp Player of the Year, becoming just the second Nole after Charlie Ward in 1993 to win the prestigious award. In the momentous 2013 season, Winston broke a program record with 40 touchdown passes and nearly broke another with 4,057 passing yards. Like Ward, Winston also led FSU to a National Championship title.
