POWELL’S POWER
Date: 2011 Season
When the Seminoles needed to flip the field, P Shawn Powell was their go-to guy. Powell led the NCAA (FBS) with a 47.04 punting average in the 2011 season, with 23 of his 57 punts inside of the opponent’s 20-yard line. The senior from Rome, Georgia, became the first consensus All-American punter in program history and also earned ACC First-Team honors that year.
