FIELD EXPERIENCE

As the team’s field manager, Dr. JoAnne Graf didn’t shy away from actually getting on the field. She often served as third base coach, directing baserunners, giving signs to batters and rallying the troops from the hot corner. Dr. Graf had plenty of offensive firepower in the 1981 and 1982 AIAW National Championship teams, which included All-American OF Toni Robinette (No. 24). The Seminoles posted batting averages of .397 and .420, respectively, in those years, giving Dr. Graf many opportunities to guide the Noles around the base paths.
