EARLY ACCOLADES

Tiffany McCarty kicked off her time in Tallahassee on a hot streak. A starter from the very beginning, the forward recorded 11 goals and added six assists in the 2008 season. The nation quickly began to take notice of the Laurel, Maryland, native. McCarty was named the 2008 ACC Freshman of the Year, the first Seminole to earn the honor. She was also a freshman All-American and named to the 2008 All-Rookie Team. McCarty was not just a flash in the pan for the Seminoles; she was named the 2009 ACC Offensive Player of the Year, just the second player in team history after Mami Yamguchi.
