DEFLECTING THE PASS
Date: October 19, 1991
Doak Campbell Stadium has been home to some illustrious Florida State teams over the 70-plus years since its opening. One of those teams was the 1991 Seminoles. FSU entered the season ranked No. 1 in the AP poll for only the second time in program history (1988). The season featured many program high points, including a victory over No. 3 Michigan on the road. Seen here, the Seminole defense batted down a pass against Middle Tennessee State en route to a 39-10 victory. The Seminoles finished the season 11-2, ranked No. 4 in the AP poll and won the Cotton Bowl.
