COLLEGE CUP IN KENNESAW
Date: December 2, 2011
The 2011 soccer season ended at the NCAA College Cup semifinal, where the No. 9 Seminoles fell to top-ranked Stanford, 3-0, at the KSU Soccer Complex in Kennesaw, Georgia. Stanford scored twice in a brief first-half surge before adding a third goal in the second half to secure the win. Despite the result, FSU finished the campaign with an 18-7-1 record and captured their first ACC Championship. “I thought our kids competed favorably and we played a very good team today,” head coach Mark Krikorian said. The College Cup appearance marked the fifth in program history and capped a landmark season for the Seminoles.
