BUSH ON THE BASEPATHS

Pinch runner Deja Bush slid into second base during Game 1 of the 2018 Women’s College World Series finals. Entering the game after C Anna Shelnutt drew a one-out walk in the 4th inning, Bush later recorded a stolen base that added to FSU’s aggressive base-running approach. The steal increased the Seminole season total to 148, taking place during a scoreless pitching duel between Meghan King and Washington’s Gabbie Plain. The Noles went on to secure a 1-0 victory, setting the tone for the championship series.
