BACK IN ACTION
Given his legacy as one of football’s all-time greats, it’s only fitting LB Derrick Brooks has his own Starting Lineup action figure. A member of both the College Football and Pro Football Halls of Fame, Brooks enjoyed a nearly two-decade career as a dominant outside linebacker. He wore No. 10 for the Seminoles from 1991 to 1994, earning two consensus All-American and three ACC First-Team honors, plus the 1993 ACC Defensive Player of the Year award. Brooks ended his collegiate career with 274 tackles, 8.5 sacks, five interceptions, four forced fumbles and the reputation as one of the best defenders in program history. As a pro, Brooks spent 14 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was an 11-time Pro Bowler, five-time All-Pro, the 2002 AP Defensive Player of the Year and a member of the Super Bowl XXXVII championship team. FSU retired Brooks’ No. 10 jersey on November 13, 2010.
