RF Hallie Wacaser was just as solid on defense as she was in the batter’s box during the 2023 Women’s College World Series (WCWS). She made a gutsy diving catch in shallow right field for an out against No. 6 Oklahoma State in FSU’s first game of WCWS. Two days later, against No. 7 Washington, Wacaser caught a bases-loaded line drive for the final out of the 2nd inning to get the Noles out of a jam. On offense, Wacaser delivered two RBIs against No. 14 Georgia in the Super Regional and a massive two-run homer against No. 4 Tennessee in the semifinals to help FSU advance to the WCWS title series.
