A PLAYOFF FIRST

Florida State secured a place in the inaugural College Football Playoff after completing a 13-0 run through the 2014 ACC Championship Game. The Seminoles earned their berth by defeating No. 12 Georgia Tech, 37-35. They then faced No. 2 Oregon at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena in one of the first CFP semifinals. This gold-toned ring marks that breakthrough with an interlocking FSU logo set among clear stones and framed by “FLORIDA STATE” and “FOOTBALL.” FSU’s appearance carried the program from the BCS era into college football’s new postseason format.
