SEVENTH HEAVEN IN THE ACC

After falling to NC State on the road, 24-7, FSU won their final seven ACC games in 1998 and shared the conference championship with Georgia Tech with a 7-1 record in ACC play. Their head-to-head meeting left no doubt on the field: the Noles defeated the No. 20 Yellow Jackets on the road, 34-7. It was FSU’s seventh consecutive ACC crown, part of an 11-2 season that ended with the Noles ranked No. 3 in the AP poll after reaching the National Championship game.
