THE BIG 9-0
No. 90 has adorned some of the most explosive and feared defenders in FSU history — players who brought chaos to opposing quarterbacks and left lasting marks on the program’s legacy. One of the most dominant to wear No. 90 was DE Andre Wadsworth, a relentless edge rusher who led the team in sacks and tackles for loss during the 1997 season. He racked up 16 sacks that year — still one of the highest single-season marks in program history — and finished as a consensus All-American before being selected third overall in the 1998 NFL Draft. Later, DE Everette Brown wore No. 90 with distinction, earning All-ACC First-Team honors in 2008 after posting 13.5 sacks. Both men were proof that the jersey number carried more than just fabric, it carried expectations.
