- SAINT BOBBY: COACH BOBBY BOWDEN •
- ALL HE DOES IS WIN
ALL HE DOES IS WIN
This commemorative football marks Bobby Bowden’s 339th career win, which came on October 25, 2003, when FSU defeated Wake Forest 48-24 at home. With the victory, Bowden became the winningest coach in NCAA Division I college football history, surpassing Joe Paterno, who was still actively coaching at the same time. The game saw QB Chris Rix throw for two touchdowns and run for another while RB Leon Washington set a program single-game record with 159 punt return yards. The football features Bowden’s name and the historic accomplishment etched onto the panel, celebrating a coaching legacy that defined an era of Garnet and Gold dominance. Today, Bowden is second in career wins (346) only to Paterno (409).
