BREAK THE ROCK

Head coach Mike Norvell, along with strength and conditioning coach Josh Storms, brought a wealth of knowledge and ideas when they arrived in Tallahassee in 2020. From his first training camp, Norvell instituted the “Break the Rock” tradition within the Seminole program. At the end of each summer’s workout program, one player who “exemplifies the team’s commitment, leadership and accountability throughout a major offseason objective” is selected as a representative. Every player and coach signs a tile before the chosen player breaks it to symbolize the completion of a team goal. This concrete tile was autographed by the 2024 training camp team and staff.
