A NOD TO COACH SUE
As the winningest coach in program history, Sue Semrau had plenty of moments to celebrate over 24 seasons with the Noles. She became the first coach to lead FSU to ACC regular season co-championships in 2009 and 2010. Named ACC Coach of the Year in 2009, that year Semrau guided No. 3 FSU to a second round appearance in the NCAA Tournament. She made further history in 2010 when the Seminoles advanced to the first Elite Eight appearance in program history. Those two milestone seasons were just a small chapter in her story of success, but they helped launch Florida State women’s basketball into the national conversation. The program honored Semrau with her own bobblehead during her 20th season in 2016-17.
