THIS FROSH IS A BOSS
Date: November 9, 2018
As a freshman in the 2018 season, Jaelin Howell emerged as one of the top midfielders in college soccer. She played the third-most minutes of any Seminole that year, earning a reputation as one of the toughest defenders in the middle. In the College Cup, Howell helped No. 5 FSU shut out No. 1 Stanford in the Final Four and No. 3 North Carolina in the Championship Game, resulting in the second National Championship in program history. For her efforts, Howell was named Most Outstanding Defensive Player of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. She was also named ACC First Team All-Freshman, ACC First Team All-Tournament and Second Team All-Conference that season.
