TEAMING UP FOR THE TOURNEY

F Byron Wells (No. 33) inbounded a pass to Seminole star G Bob Sura (No. 3). Both were regulars on the roster in the early 1990s, with each playing in a reserve role in 1991-92 until Sura’s big breakout in the following season. Although Wells was limited off the bench, the duo enjoyed back-to-back games in December 1992 where each scored in double digits. Wells’ career high of 4.6 points that season paired with Sura’s team high of 19.9 points to send FSU to the 1993 NCAA Tournament. They appeared in all four postseason games as the Noles made a run to the Elite Eight.
