SMASH HIT
Date: 2021 Season
Freshman outfielder Kaley Mudge tormented opposing pitchers during the 2021 Women’s College World Series (WCWS). She set a WCWS record with 14 hits in the series, breaking the mark previously set by Seminole legend IF Jessie Warren. Mudge’s final stat line featured a .500 batting average, six runs, three RBIs and two doubles in eight WCWS games. “Coming into the World Series, I did not think I was going to break any records. I was just excited to put my feet on the clay here,” Mudge said. Her offensive prowess helped the Seminoles back to the WCWS finals in 2023.
