SAFE HANDS

These yellow and black Nike goalkeeper gloves were worn by freshman Cassie Miller during FSU’s historic 2014 National Championship season. Starting all 26 matches, Miller anchored a back line that produced 24 wins and 19 shutouts, which set program records, and went the entire NCAA Tournament without conceding a goal. She also helped the Seminoles achieve a 9-0-1 record in ACC play, the first undefeated conference season in program history, conceding only two goals in 10 conference games. Despite her critical role, Miller was quick to deflect attention, noting, “Our defense is great, they’re the ones who make me look good.”
