MITCHELL’S NO. 94
This jersey belonged to DE Sean Mitchell, a 6-foot-4, 280-pound sophomore from Jesup, Georgia. It features the iconic 50th anniversary patch commemorating half a century of Seminole football. A product of Wayne County High School, Mitchell came to Tallahassee as a physical, high-upside recruit. Mitchell played in five games during his FSU career, recording four total tackles (two solo), 1.5 tackles for loss and one quarterback hurry — all of which came during the 1996 season. He saw action against Duke, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Southern Mississippi and Maryland, earning one defensive start in each game. His best performance came against Southern Miss on November 16, where he logged two solo tackles and a tackle for loss. Unfortunately, Mitchell suffered a career-ending injury in 1997 spring practice that cut his promising career short.
