MISSION: CHAMPIONSHIP

The Seminoles took home the National Championship trophy in the 2023 season, one of the most thrilling campaigns in program history. Riding a 17-game undefeated streak, No. 1 FSU entered the NCAA Tournament on a mission. They posted five straight shutouts with wins over Morehead State, Texas A&M, Texas, No. 11 Pitt and No. 7 Clemson to set up a date with No. 3 Stanford in the College Cup Final. The Noles quickly grabbed a 2-0 lead when F Jordynn Dudley and F Jody Brown scored just 26 seconds apart in the 29th minute. After the Cardinal cut the lead with a goal early in the second half, the Seminoles piled on and never looked back. F Beata Olsson netted one in the 58th minute and Brown scored her second goal of the match just three minutes later. F Onyi Echegini added one final goal in the 84th minute for good measure. With the victory, the Garnet and Gold won their fourth championship since 2014 and third in sixth seasons.
