LISA LIT IT UP
Date: 1980s
G Lisa Foglio’s reputation preceded her before she arrived in Tallahassee for the 1980-81 season. A native of Ocean City, New Jersey, Foglio ended her high school career as the town’s all-time leading girls basketball scorer. Foglio started college at Mercer, guiding the Bears to a school record 29-6 season in one season with the team. She then transferred to FSU and established herself as a dependable starter over the next three seasons, leading the team in assists in 1980-81 and 1982-83. Foglio became a member of the 1,000-point club, and her 15.0 points per game average remains in the top 10 in program history.
