KINGS OF THE ACC

Mike Martin embraced C Danny De La Calle after FSU defeated North Carolina State 6-2 in the 2015 ACC Tournament Championship. De La Calle had two RBIs in the victory, helping Martin win one of his eight career ACC Tournament titles. FSU joined the ACC in 1992 — nearly four decades after the conference’s founding — but Martin made sure his Noles were contenders right away. When he retired in 2019, Martin held the record for most ACC wins (506), ACC Tournament wins (80) and NCAA Tournament wins as a member of the ACC (119). He also won ACC Coach of the Year seven times.
