After a phenomenal 2008 season, C Buster Posey received the Golden Spikes Award from USA Baseball as the top player in the nation. Posey hit 26 home runs and 93 RBIs along with a .463 ERA. His 119 hits in the season remains in the top 10 in program history. Posey was the fourth Seminole to win the award, making FSU the winningest program in Golden Spikes history.
