GLIDING GALKANTAS

F Sue Galkantas is most often remembered for her prolific scoring, but the 6-foot forward was also a force on the boards. Galkantas remains in the top five in program history with 8.4 rebounds per game, 1,006 total rebounds and 32 career double-doubles. In recognition of her impact on the court, Galkantas was named to both the Street & Smith’s All-American team and the Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women Second Team in 1981, and the Women’s Basketball Yearbook Second Team in 1983. She was also inducted into the FSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 1989.
