GALKANTAS GOT A GRAND

FSU all-time leading scorer F Sue Galkantas stood mid-court holding a basketball inscribed with “1,000 points” following a tightly contested away game against Florida A&M during her sophomore season. Her production helped the Seminoles finish that 1981-82 season with a 28-10 record and reach the championship game of the WNIT. Galkantas ended her illustrious FSU career with 2,323 points, which remains tops for any men’s or women’s basketball player in FSU history.
