FIRST GOAL TO FINAL WHISTLE

Long before FSU lifted the trophy, midfielder Yuna McCormack helped set the championship run in motion. She scored the opening goal of FSU’s NCAA Tournament in a 4-0 first-round win over Samford, then found the net again during the 4-1 quarterfinal victory over Ohio State. McCormack finished the 2025 campaign with six goals and three assists and played all 90 minutes as No. 6 FSU defeated No. 1 Stanford, 1-0, for the title. Pictured carrying possession through midfield, No. 14 helped turn an early postseason spark into the program’s fifth National Championship.
