FIRST ACC SEASON, FIRST-PLACE FINISH

In 1992, the Seminoles entered their first ACC football season and swept all eight conference games. The run began with a 48-21 victory over Duke at Doak Campbell Stadium and included two narrow road wins, defeating Clemson, 24-20, and Georgia Tech, 29-24. FSU finished conference play by routing Maryland at home, 69-21, to complete an 8-0 ACC record during an 11-1 season that ended with the Noles ranking No. 2 in the AP poll.
